On the road to achieving carbon neutrality, new energy vehicles are an essential component, so the country is currently launching a series of policies and plans to promote the rapid development of new energy.
On April 1st, Jiang Zhihui, a first level inspector of the Beijing Municipal Urban Management Commission, introduced at a press conference on the "14th Five Year Plan for Energy Development in Beijing" that as of the end of December 2021, a total of 256000 charging piles and 10 hydrogen refueling stations had been built in Beijing. By 2025, Beijing aims to build 700000 charging stations and 74 hydrogen refueling stations, with an average service radius of less than 3 kilometers for public electric vehicle charging facilities in plain areas.
Carbon neutrality target
At present, more and more governments are transforming carbon neutrality into national strategies and proposing a vision of a carbon free future. China is no exception. On September 22, 2020, China announced to the United Nations General Assembly that it will strive to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060 and adopt "stronger policies and measures" to reach peak emissions before 2030. As the capital of China, Beijing naturally carries a heavier weight on its shoulders.
The plan proposes to achieve new improvements in energy utilization efficiency in Beijing by 2025. Strengthen the dual control of energy, carbon emissions, and intensity, control the total energy consumption at around 80.5 million tons of standard coal, and stabilize and gradually reduce the total carbon dioxide emissions after reaching the peak first. Energy efficiency continues to improve, and energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of regional GDP have further decreased, meeting national requirements.
Among them, new energy vehicles named after energy naturally need to be given special attention and focus on development.
The energy replenishment system is particularly important
The biggest problem in the field of new energy vehicles at present is actually the most basic issue of energy replenishment convenience. Previously, in a series of articles published at the "First Electric Car Owner Representative Conference" held by First Electric, we expressed that car owners crave not long range, but a convenient energy replenishment system.
Because most of the current usage scenarios of new energy vehicles are driving on urban roads in the city, if the future energy replenishment system is fully mature, there is no need to rush for charging stations, and charging can be done at any time on highways without spending too much time, then the original range of new energy vehicles will naturally not constitute anxiety.
So compared to ultra long battery life, the ability of electric vehicles to find charging stations at any time like gasoline powered cars and complete charging in the shortest possible time may be more important. The average service radius of public charging facilities for electric vehicles in the Beijing plain area is less than 3 kilometers, which will effectively solve this problem.
